Installation is no more complicated that connecting the speaker and your locomotive’s track pickups. Simple terminal block connections means fast and easy installation with a minimum of fuss. Everything you need to get started is included! Steam kits include the battery, speaker, power switch, axle magnets and sensor, hookup wire and instructions. Diesel kits include the battery, speaker, power switch, hookup wire and instructions. 

Sierra has an array of optional accessories that come pre-wired and ready to connect, and while not necessary to enjoy your sound system, they provide an easy way to take advantage of the many exciting features included in Sierra’s circuitry. 

For example, our Firebox Lighting Kit includes all the parts needed to light up the firebox of a steam engine with a brilliant flickering glow that is perfectly synchronized with Sierra’s Fireman Fred sound effect. Our Firebox Lighting Kit comes pre-wired with instructions. The Coupler Clank Sensor Switch, once properly installed will result in a resounding “Ka-Klunk” when you actually couple to a boxcar or another engine! Just like the real thing! The Remote Mounted Volume Control Switch allows for easy access to the volume and setup functions from the exterior of the locomotive. The optional Battery Charging Kit lets you charge Sierra’s battery without the need to run the locomotive. Just plug it in and you’ll be ready for your next session before you know it!
